The Norrmans
“Being a host comes pretty natural to us. We are very close to our guests and get to know them well. Every evening we’re hosting a social dining where everyone gathers around a big table and dine together. We talked about what it would be like to wait separate tables in the evening and agreed that it would feel a bit weird and pompous. We wanted it more like dining in the Italian countryside, spontaneously and with the cooking of the day. And our social dining has become a big thing for all of us. Last season Lars was banished to the kitchen and didn’t get a lot of opportunities to dine with our guests. This resulted in us working together with a well-known restaurant nearby this season instead. We thought we would have a sporadic flow of visitors, but the number of guests has completely exceeded our expectations. We think that our presence on Instagram helped a lot with that. We have created something and people have seen it and liked it, and eventually some of them want to visit it as well. On Facebook we show unedited material about our projects as we feel that there is a demand for both polished and raw material amongst our followers. People are searching high and low for unique places with a distinctive character. To them, the place of staying becomes the destination of the trip. I first had my worries about what it would be like to sit down and socialize with strangers every night, but I haven't met so many cool people in my entire life as I have this past summer”.
