“When we first started our business it was very confusing times. My then wife and I bought this house and had an idea that we were going to build some kind of small lodging with a café, but then it just grew into the concept of a boutique hotel with fine dining. Every room had its own theme. We had a friend that helped us with branding. I thought I would just be walking around on the property in my hosting boots, chitchatting with the guests and just going with the flow. It turned out a lot of time would be dedicated to cleaning, ironing and serving in general. But I found myself really enjoying helping the guests to the best experience. It was important to us.“
